NOTE FOR 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR

¡HOLA!

For the upcoming year, I have decided to begin using Schoology to post homework, study resources, and other important links for my students.  I wanted a more secure format for these materials, and also to allow students to interact with each other via discussion boards, etc in an appropriate platform.  

Because of these changes, I will no longer be updating this website......all of the necessary materials for class will be posted on Schoology.

Class begins on August 22nd, and students will receive Schoology class codes on the 2nd day of school.  ¡Gracias!

Spanish 1 semester test link

Here is the link for the final exam for Spanish 1.  You will receive the access code during class on Wednesday or during your block testing period. 

CLASS PLAN FOR MAY 14-18

Know you're going to be gone this week?  Wondering what we will be doing?

MONDAY (5/14):  Begin Semester Test Review.  Here is the Nearpod lesson with all of our review activities for the vocabulary and writing portions of the test.

TUESDAY (5/15):  Continue Semester Test Review.  Here is the Nearpod lesson with all of our review activities for the grammar portion of the test.

WEDNESDAY (5/16):  SEMESTER TEST.  If you are not in class this day, plan to take your test in-class Thursday OR during the block set aside by your school for this class period.  ALL EXTRA CREDIT AND MAKEUP WORK DUE BY 8:30 AM TODAY.

THURSDAY (5/17):  Test Makeup Day.  Begin watching La Misma Luna movie.

FRIDAY (5/18):  Last Day of Class.  Finish La Misma Luna.

CLASS PLAN FOR MAY 7-11

Know you will be absent sometime this week?  Wondering what your makeup work will be?  Here is our in-class plan for the week.

MONDAY (5-7):  Clothing Catalog Project Due.  In-class readings and videos about markets.  Read Pages 316 and 318 of your book.

TUESDAY (5-8):  Work Day on Bargaining skits/videos.  Have a plan with your group if you will be gone today.

WEDNESDAY (5-9):  Present bargaining skits/videos in class.  Groups who know they will be gone can make this up Thursday.  Begin Mesoamerica cultural notes.

THURSDAY (5-10):  Mesoamerica cultural notes.  Use this info to complete Pages 3-4 of your project packet.

FRIDAY (5-11):  Finish cultural notes (if needed) and watch Expedition Unknown about the Mayan empire.

MONDAY (4-30):  Begin Chapter 9 Review.  Here is a Nearpod presentation we will be working on.  Where it asks you to enter a code to join the lesson, enter WNAFE  Complete this review before Wednesday's test...I will have record of your responses!

TUESDAY (5-1):  Chapter 9 Test Review.  Check out the Review and Practice tab for more info and complete Activities 1-2, 4-5 on pgs 320-321 of your textbook.

WEDNESDAY (5-2):  CHAPTER 9 TEST.  If you are absent today, you will have the chance to make up the test during class Thursday.

THURSDAY (5-3):  Work Day on Chapter 9 Projects.  Here is the Project handout.
